A man who allegedly fired a number of shots at another man in Ipswich on Tuesday night has been charged.
Police were called to a Woods Court address in Bellbird Park about 9.50pm following reports of multiple gun shots.
The men, who police say were not known to each other, were allegedly in a verbal argument through neighbouring properties when a 24-year-old Bellbird Park man shot at a 39-year-old man, causing minor injuries to his arm.
The 39-year-old, also from Bellbird Park, was taken to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries.
The alleged shooter then left the property before police arrived and drove to David Street at North Booval.
About 11.50pm, police arrived at the David Street address and the man then drove to Gledson Street, where police deployed a tyre deflation device.
Police said the man was taken into custody without further incident, and was charged with possession of a shortened firearm and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
